KEY PERSONNEL
Over the years Yunca have had a number of loyal and intelligent individuals head divisions and guide the company to where it is today. Many of those were long term relationships with more than 10 of them spanning over 20 years of employment each with Terry and the team. Our current structure has been designed to best optimise each division to its greatest potential with still ensuring that our end user has the greatest impact on our heating and engineering technologies.
HEAD OFFICE AND FACTORY
Chief Executive Officer
Karyna Young is Chief Executive of the Yunca Group. She is a pivotal part of the Heating R&D team and works alongside the Heating division with all emerging markets.
Karyna oversees the four branches and holds the seat of Chairperson with Enpot Limited, which Yunca is a major shareholder. Whilst based in the Waikato with her partner and three sons, Karyna spends a third of the year operating out of the factories.
Karyna has been in this role for 5 years now, taking over from her father Terry as part of their family succession and development plan.
Lead Engineering Consultant
Terry Young is the founder of Yunca Group. Terry handed over the CEO role in the last few years to allow his daughter Karyna to continue to drive the company into the next stages of operation.
Terry is based at Head Office in Invercargill and has always enjoyed keeping the family in the game, by naming his stunning wood fires after his grandchildren.
With the luxury of having Terry still involved, both he and Karyna work together on co-ordinating new Engineering Contracts, assessment of potential opportunities, and commercialising existing projects with a special interest in Green Energies.
National & International Sales Manager
Sam is Yunca Groups head Sales Manager for heating. Sam comes to us from an extensive background in sales and his enthusiasm for renewable heating options has seen Sam exceed all company sales targets in New Zealand, Australasia and Northern India.
Driving the R&D teams through to product launch is a pivotal role for Sam, with a true focus on delivering exactly what the market is asking for.
Sam is a staunch Southland Blues supporter, still playing in his early 40’s, the black eyes suggest that he should maybe focus on his two little boys, as they start tearing the field up.
Yunca Head Office General Manager
Selucio came to Yunca in 2017 where his role included project work, standard and quality management, and Health and Safety coordination.
In late-2022 Selucio took over as the Head Office General Manager.
Selucio has degrees in Graduate in Business Administration (NZQA level 7) and Specialised in Management and Technology in Construction (NZQA level 8)
Yunca HO Factory Foreman
Glen is the team member that everybody goes to! After being with us for 11 years (at time of writing), Glen has a very strong technical understanding of everything we do at Yunca. Originally employed as Store Manager, Glen was promoted to Factory Foreman in 2021.
Glen was also appointed our HQ Health and Safety Rep and has made it a personal goal to continue his education in all things H&S.
Chief Draftsman
Orlie is Yunca Group’s Chief Draftsman working with both Heating and Engineering.
Orlie was born in the Philippines and got a degree of BS in Electronics and Communications Engineering in the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
Orlie enjoys playing basketball, badminton, video games, fishing, art-painting, repairing electronics, playing electronic drums, karaoke singing, and exploring new things and places.
Office Administrator
Cristine is based in our Invercargill Head Office and is responsible for the company’s accounts, overseeing contracts for our Engineering division, and organising the day-to-day running of the office.
Cristine has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management (Level 7, Brazil), a Bachelor’s degree in Law (Level 7, Brazil), and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Enterprise (Level 8, New Zealand).

Dunedin General Manager
Mark started at Yunca Dunedin in 2018 as the General Manager to help guide the Dunedin team to improve processes and implement new machinery.
Mark worked for Yunca Dunedin from 1993 till 1996 as an assembly worker and then as a CNC operator before he went to work for Farra Sheetmetal Engineering for twenty-two years progressing up to the Manager where he became an integral part of the senior management team.
Mark enjoys time with his children and grandkids and still enjoys playing competitive football in the Dunedin Masters league.
Dunedin Factory Manager
Dunedin Office Manager
Chris has been in manufacturing all his life and has a real can-do attitude. Chris was with Yunca Dunedin from 1988 through to 1999 where he went to Fisher & Paykel for 10 years where he learnt a lot about manufacturing. Chris then returned to Yunca Dunedin.
Chris’s interests are buying, fixing and selling cars, fishing, dogs and family.
Reilene enjoys a variety of work in her role including Dunedin Sales and Administration, Agent Training, Machine Operation and Home Shows.
Reilene has gained a lot of knowledge from getting on the factory floor and learning the day to day operations. Reilene has been with Yunca since 2016, coming from a background in Sales/Merchandising with Goodman Fielder for 10 years and a Management role at a Foodstuffs Supermarket where she has developed her communication and problem-solving skills.
Outside of work Reilene enjoys spending time with her husband, children and friends. She has a love of music and enjoys the outdoors.
Designer
Procote Industries Manager
Warwick joined the Yunca Dunedin team in 2020 as a designer and CNC machine programmer.
Warwick served his apprenticeship as a Toolmaker and progressed into Mechanical Design in the 1980’s. The company he worked for was one of the earliest users of CAD / CAM systems in New Zealand. He was involved in the design and manufacture of high precision press tooling for the world automotive and whiteware industries.
Outside of work, Warwick spends his time in the skies, flying and teaching others to fly.

Neville oversees operations at Procote Industries in Dunedin. His role is to co-ordinate the enamelling and powder coating services for Yunca's own Heating Production, and also for other manufacturers and various industries.

Dattaram has a Bachelor of Commerce from Goa University, as well as a background in finance and accounts before joining the Yunca Team.
Dattaram started with Yunca India as our Accounts & Administration Executive, and along with other responsibilities, currently holds the position of Plant Manager.
Ketan has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Padre Conceicao college of Engineering, Goa India.
Ketan joined the team at Yunca India some time ago and is currently the Production Manager, while also overseeing Design, Quality, and Indian Sales.
Rhunali joined the Yunca India team in 2019 and currently handles purchasing and administration duties.
